Just imagine how many resources are used up for lawns. And how amazing would it be to know where your food comes from? Grow food and fuel your life!
Anyone know how safe this is to have food that close to the road? I have heard of plants absorbing the toxic chemicals from cars, etc.
I’ve wondered that, too, but then you have things like community gardens and roadside gardens in cities, so I don’t know.
Also, many gardens like this are sadly being called illegal and homeowners are being sued or arrested/fined in regards to their front yard gardens because they aren’t ~pretty~.

You may also not be able to put it on the roof (assuming you have a flat roof) for the same issues as well.
